Default Alive on Android: join the test

Default Alive is coming to Android. Google lets a new developer put a game on Google Play only after 12 people have tested it for 14 days in a row. If you have an Android phone, you can be one of them.

Three steps

Use the same Google account for all three: the one on your phone. To see which account that is, open the Play Store and tap your picture at the top right.

  1. Join the testers' group

Open the group and tap Join group.

    Open the testers' group

If the page shows Sign in and no Join group button, sign in with this link. It brings you back to the group.

  2. Become a tester

Open the test page and tap Become a tester.

    Open the test page

  3. Install Default Alive

Tap the Google Play link on the test page, or the button below, and install. Keep it installed for two weeks, because Google counts the days.

    Get it on Google Play

If Google Play cannot find the game

Google Play shows the game only to testers, so the store cannot find it until you finish steps 1 and 2. If you did both and the store still cannot find it, you probably used a different Google account from the one in the group. Join the group with the account that the Play Store uses.

What you get

The test build is the same game as on the iPhone: the garage, the seed stage, Series A and Series B. It is free, with no ads and no in-app purchases, and your company is saved on your phone. If something looks or plays wrong, email [email protected].

Privacy

When you join the group, I can see your Google account's email address in the group's member list, and Google sees it too. Other testers cannot see it. I use it only to run this test. Leave the group at any time. The game's privacy policy has the rest.
