Every cycle runs Monday to Sunday for a fortnight, sets its numbers before the measurement rather than after, and ends with a written grade. The retro gets published even when it is bad, because a scoreboard that only appears on good weeks is advertising.

There is one top-level scorecard and a scorecard per project underneath it. One rule keeps two levels from collapsing into scores that are averages of averages, which is how grading goes arbitrary and how a quarter ends in an argument about partial credit:
The top card grades outcomes. The project cards grade the actions that produce them. Neither is ever an average of the other.
A key result carries one clause, one number, and one date. If it will not fit in about twelve words it is usually two key results wearing one number, and at the grade date that becomes an argument rather than a score. Cycle 0 is the worked example: twenty-two of its thirty-seven rows broke the rule, and the compound ones turned out to be exactly the ones that could not be graded.
